2. Purposes and legal basis of processing

Your data is collected for processing project enquiries, the creation of cost estimates and the provision of language services.

Your data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6, para. 1, lit. b DSGVO.

3. Recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data

Your personal data will be passed on to the following third parties:
E-mail providers for communication (Google / Gmail)
Translation project processing:
Translation software providers
Machine translation providers
For taxation purposes, customer data may be sent to the responsible tax authority or accountant
For mail communication (Deutsche Post)

4. Transfer of personal data to a third country

Your personal data may be transmitted to providers in the USA.

On 12 July 2016, the EU Commission decided that the USA provides adequate protection of personal data.

5. Retention period

Your data will only be stored as long as necessary to comply with pre-contractual, contractual and statutory retention periods. Especially the legal retention periods under commercial and tax law may extend up to ten years.

6. User rights

The EU-GDPR gives you the following rights:

If your personal data is processed, you have the right to information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR).

Should incorrect personal data be processed, you have the right to correction (Art. 16 GDPR).

If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing and object to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).

If you have consented to data processing or if there is a data processing agreement and data is processed automatically, you have the right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO).

If you resort to the above rights, we will check whether the legal requirements are met.

You also have to right to appeal to your responsible state officer for data protection and information security.

7. Right to withdrawal of consent

If you have declared your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke your consent for the future at any time. This does not affect the legality of the processing of data prior to your withdrawal.

8. Obligation to provide data

We ask you for the personal data necessary to conclude and fulfill contractual obligations or which we are legal required to collect. If you do not provide this data, we will generally not be able to conclude or fulfill a contract and might have to terminate a contractual relationship.
